Wendo Kolosoy

Wendo Kolosoy, affectionately known as "Papa Wendo", is celebrated as the father of Congolese rumba. His 1948 hit "Marie Louise" helped launch the genre, and after decades out of the spotlight he enjoyed a triumphant revival before his death in 2008.
